Das Attisholz-Areal lebt!
Cellulose was industrially produced on the Attisholz site for 130 years. Since the end of 2016, Halter AG has been working together with the local municipality of Riedholz and the canton of Solothurn to find a new way of using the area for future generations. The nationwide real estate company Halter is pursuing a long-term perspective with step-by-step developments. The impressive appearance of the industrial plant should be preserved. It is reminiscent of an important (industrial) era.
New life has already awakened on the largest brownfield site in Switzerland. Initiative users have moved in, more will follow. In the next twenty to thirty years, a place will be created on the Aare where many things will be possible together and side by side: living, working, researching, educating, enjoying, making music, creating art, dining, relaxing and meeting. With the opening in 2018, a wide range of offers have already been established on the site. With live concerts in the Attisholz Arena, changing exhibitions, street art, restaurants and spacious open spaces, the area can be experienced with all your senses.
